Within 24 hours she, and her team Leader Clare Waterfall, had set up a brand new team and immediately started to take calls from people who had run out of food or prescriptions.
The response team includes a wide range of Derbyshire County Council staff who usually work within areas including Local Area Coordination, 50+ Forums, Time Swap, Safe Places, Volunteer Passport and Disability Employment Service. Plus staff from our healthy lifestyles service Live Life Better Derbyshire have joined in too.

“It has been an incredible amount of work and adjustment and everyone has worked extremely hard to support our most vulnerable people.
“To help look after my own health and wellbeing, I run, and have tried to continue with it throughout lockdown.
“I’d like to say thank you to all Derbyshire residents for showing their appreciation in this way and for staying at home.”
