Requests for support have increased as Derbyshire residents deal with the financial challenges of coronavirus.

Staff have risen to the challenge and have adapted to working from home as much as possible while keeping the fund in action.

Lois Race, Service Manager for Welfare Rights Service and Derbyshire Discretionary Fund, said:

“We have had amazing support from colleagues to get extra IT kit; phones; and remote working access sorted.

“Our Call Derbyshire colleagues have gone the extra mile too, to make sure that those in crisis can get through and make their application.

“Three colleagues from the Welfare Rights Service have even swapped roles and trained up to help respond to the additional applications.

“Thank you for everything that you are doing!”
