She’s been helping out with a wide variety of concerns that one local resident had.

Mavis first came to us in March via the Citizens Advice Consumer Services as she was getting nuisance telephone calls as a result of a scam that was going around. She had received three calls all in the same day.

Rachel said:

“I gave her detailed advice regarding scams and offered to install a call blocker for her after the Covid restrictions have lifted. 

“I also checked on her wellbeing during the isolation and told her about the DCC Hub should she need any help with shopping.”

Rachel also went above and beyond her usual remit and helped Mavis replace a broken bin, contacted the DCC hub on her behalf to arrange shopping and is also helping her to be put on the vulnerable persons list.

Rachel said:

“Mavis is a lovely lady and it was a pleasure to help her out.”
