Extraordinary times bring extraordinary challenges. Social distancing and restrictions on movement have meant that some people who are normally independent need a bit of extra help.

James Adams usually works as a Senior Project Engineer for the council's Highways Hub. At the moment he is leading the Community Response Unit's food provision efforts by receiving supplies, coordinating volunteers, arranging logistics and ensuring safety.

"I feel very privileged to have been asked to setup and run the operation to help those in need. I'm surprised that the demand hasn't been higher, but then it's great that so many local organisations, local communities and families are looking after their own people."
