He and the emergency planning team are in full response mode.  

This has involved huge amounts of work including working with partners across the Local Resilience Forum and military planners, setting up temporary testing sites and acquiring and distributing PPE.

The team also have to be prepared to respond to any other emergencies such as the recent fire at Springfield Mill in Sandiacre.

“Although a lot of our work goes on behind the scenes, we provide a strong co-ordinated link between our multi-agency partners to help the response to Covid-19 and in turn help keep the people of Derbyshire safe and to sustain the true Derbyshire Spirit."
