The current situation means that people living in care homes across the country can’t be visited by friends and family in the way they normally would be. Our teams are going above and beyond to ensure residents are safe, happy and occupied.
At Rowthorne care home staff have come together from their usual places of work to run craft, music and painting activities with residents to support their emotional wellbeing.
"I feel that, during the current climate, it is important to remember that we can go home to our families but our residents only have us. We ensure we show them compassion, affection, understanding when they are low, stimulate their minds and bodies and that they are still a part of a bigger family."
