Woman with face masks

The team kindly donated 200 masks to Derbyshire County Council’s Community Response Unit to pack into the final load of emergency food parcels delivered this week as part of the unit’s ongoing efforts to support those in need across the county.

Shelagh, runs Shelaghs Sewing Circle – a volunteer group that sews and delivers cotton face masks made from donated fabric to key workers and frontline staff in our local communities for free.

Darran West, from Derbyshire County Council’s Community Response Unit, said:

“This is a great way to make people aware of the importance of wearing a mask and to make sure some of our more vulnerable residents have a mask they can use.

“Thanks to Shelagh and her sewing circle for this generous donation.”
