She’s working alongside Idris Morris, who usually works in our county transport team, to make sure discharged patients get safely back home from hospital.

The team recently received an award from the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust for all their hard work.

Sue said:

"This is our tenth week at Royal Derby Hospital. We have joined a great team at the discharge lounge and they have made us feel very welcome. The work that we carry out integrates with the patient transport services and it has been a very new experience and rewarding role that we are doing. The work we are doing reflects what we do on a day to day basis within Derbyshire County Council and we are continuing to help with the pandemic crisis until further notice."
