Two people holding a cake and a person dressed as bunny

The group set up to help residents of the Creswell, Clowne, Whitwell and Hodthorpe areas.

Over time this has developed and they have now created a small food bank and are working alongside a number of organisations.

Zara Skidmore from CUP said:

“As a group we are reaching out to as many people as possible to help in these uncertain times and we just want people to know that we are here.

“No questions asked - we want to support. It’s not always easy to ask for help. Especially if you have never had to before.

“Our group is all about bringing Unity back into our Community and we see, beyond COVID, this work continuing.”

The group offers short term support and also refers into other organisations for longer term support where necessary.

They’ve also been in contact with local care homes and  Bassetlaw Hospital supplying them with protective equipment and thank you gifts for the staff.
