Garden decorations

Usually a group of volunteers tend and tidy the garden which is there for everyone in the community to enjoy.

During lockdown all usual activities have been stopped so during their daily exercise members of the W.I have been decorating the garden with wildlife.

There have been birds, mice, squirrels and butterflies created and crafted by members and placed in the garden for everyone to enjoy.

They have also added a salute to VE Day with some Union Jack Bunting.

Lynda Hallam, Chapel en le Frith Committee Member, said:

“This quiet spot is often missed by the general public of Chapel but with the bright colours and the restrictions in place, we are all staying local and it is being appreciated by more members of the public.”

The W.I. will continue to add and maintain this garden for everyone to enjoy and it will be continually changing and new additions arriving.
