A group called a ‘Stitch for me to you’ are making washbags and headbands for the NHS and care homes and sent over a wonderful delivery for the staff. They also sent toiletries and hand creams.
The care home has received lots of wonderful donations from the community including Ockbrook and Borrowash parish council who donated 40 Easter eggs, a fruit hamper and lots of toiletries for residents and Overdale surgery who donated 200 thermometer covers.
Residents and staff are also being helped and cheered up by a wide range of people including student Archie, currently doing his Duke of Edinburgh, who does shopping for residents and writes them letters.
Lots of local children have also done artwork to decorate the home’s windows.
